YAMAHA SMT Europe presented the Champions of the recent World SMT Engineer Grand Prix competition, among them RENEX Group specialist Pawel Malinowski.
As YAMAHA announced in a press release, the purpose of the event was to identify the best customer support from its global distribution network. As many as 91 engineers from 13 countries competed in the event held online from YMC headquarters in Japan.
Participants demonstrated their knowledge and skills in a series of tests covering production line PCB data creation, programming, problem analysis and remote machine operation.
Only two specialists from YAMAHA’s European area qualified for the global finals. Pawel Malinowski of the RENEX Group ultimately won a special award for Customer Support and took third place overall. Gökhan Asan from Turkey took fourth place.
Congratulating the two engineers, Ralf Keller, CEO of YAMAHA Motor Robotics Europe, said: “Their excellent results demonstrate the excellence of our network, and I look forward to seeing even more of our agent engineers from across Europe take on the challenge next year.”
The World SMT Engineer Grand Prix reflects the resources of YAMAHA Motor Robotics’ global network and demonstrates the support available to customers around the world from competent, dedicated, educated and experienced engineers. The competition, which was held for the second time, will return next year and is open to all YAMAHA Motor Robotics distributor engineers and representatives.
Pawel Malinowski – on a day-to-day basis, he is the Manager of the RENEX Group Technical Support Department operating within the RENEX TECHNOLOGY AND TRAINING CENTER. Together with his team, he provides repair, consulting and training support to RENEX Customers and Partners so that they can use the potential of their equipment and production lines to the fullest extent possible.
In February 2021, RENEX Group was awarded the YAMAHA Best Service Provider Award. At the time, the Group was recognized for providing the best level of service in Europe for the service of supplied equipment, its installation and the training it provides for the assembly and inspection of SMT components.
In order to provide the highest level of service, RENEX Group created the RENEX TECHNOLOGY AND TRAINING CENTER and the RENEX DEMOROOM. In these spaces, interested parties, with the help of experienced RENEX engineers, can select equipment suitable for their processes and test it on site – including on their own components and subassemblies. RENEX specialists here also provide a wide range of consulting and training services that allow them to get the most out of their electronics production line.
