RENEX Group has announced the launch of a range of INDIUM products for the space industry.
Electronic equipment developed for the space industry often requires the highest degree of reliability despite operating in extremely difficult conditions. For this reason, manufacturers in this industry rely on tried and tested solutions.
At the same time, projects in this field are often subject to very specific standards and restrictions in terms of the materials and techniques used. Taking this into account, RENEX Group, in cooperation with the global company INDIUM, has introduced a selection of materials intended for the production of electronics for the space industry. The offer includes, among others:
NC-SMQ92 solder paste
NC-SMQ92 is a halide-free ROL0 (RMA) no-clean solder paste, designed for reflow soldering. The paste has been formulated to leave a benign, probe testable residues. It is used in almost all the most demanding segments, such as aerospace and military industries. The paste is available for dispensers and stencil printers.
5RMA-RC flux
5RMA-RC are a ROL1 (RA) heat-stabilized rosin flux designed for soldering with preforms or solder wire. It’s formulated for use with a wide range of temperatures and metallization’s.
5RMA-RC are free of materials listed in the REACH SVHC list (Q2, 2015).
5RA-RC flux
5RA-RC is also a heat-stabilized ROH1 rosin flux (RA) designed for soldering with preforms or solder wire. Like 5RMA-RC, this flux can also be used over a wide temperature and metallization range. However, 5RA-RC is a fully-activated flux, which means that residues from the reflow process must be removed. This flux also does not contain REACH SVHC listed materials (Q2, 2015).”
CW-201 flux solder wire
CW-201 is a traditional RA type flux (ROM1). This product is recommended for use with 63Sn/36Pb and 60Sn/40Pb alloys on non-sensitive oxidized copper parts, non-sensitive electrical/electronic assemblies where higher speed wetting is desired, assemblies where residues are removed after soldering, and for soldering moderately difficult metals such as brass and nickel.”
CW-807 Flux Solder Wire
“CW-807 meets the latest J-STD-004B type ROL0 requirements while being easy to work with. CW-807 has a clear, colorless appearance and gives off very little fumes. CW-807 contains no added volatile solvents or water-absorbent materials to reduce spatter. Flux residues are transparent and slightly glossy.”
Collaboration with global brand Indium
“The Polish electronics manufacturing industry is developing very rapidly. We believe, the most modern and demanding types of products – including those for space, aeronautics or military industry – will constitute an increasing percentage of realizations. The offer we introduce together with INDIUM company – one of the world’s leading manufacturers of soldering binders – is the answer to these trends. These materials – soldering fluxes and pastes, as products with proven reliability, have of course a much wider application. (…) Our specialists at the RENEX TECHNOLOGY AND TRAINING CENTER invariably provide entrepreneurs in Poland and Central and Eastern Europe with assistance in the proper selection of processes and solutions” commented Ms. Marzena Szczotkowska-Topić and Mr. Predrag Topić – Owners of the RENEX Group.
Supporting the development of the electronics manufacturing industry, RENEX Group provides, among others, free consulting services in the field of correct setting of the solder paste printing process. Application engineers providing the services help interested entities to properly profile soldering furnaces for a given type of paste and present the most important parameters in the process of paste printing and printer settings. As part of their support, they also provide a free detailed analysis in terms of X-ray inspection and a graphical report of the solder profiles.
