The Polish Soldering Championships – RSC 2019 have just concluded. On 10 April, students from technical schools from all over Poland competed for the title of Youth Soldering Champion of Poland 2019. The next day was dedicated to the competition representatives of companies from Poland for the title of The Polish Soldering Champion 2019. The Championships are a professional event, permanently inscribed in the calendar of important events of the electronics industry, that year by year, enjoy increasing prestige and recognition.
This year the competition was held at the RENEX Technology Center in Włocławek, under the auspices of the Mayor of Włocławek. Due to the huge interest, the organizers introduced participation limits to two competitors from one school.
The championships are such a prestigious event that internal eliminations and preparations were carried out at schools and universities to select the best competitors. In many companies, however, internal eliminations and training were carried out, which allowed them to choose their best representatives.
On April 10, a competition of 70 competitors in 5 elimination groups selected fourteen finalists, who were:
1. Michał Samul (Bialystok University of Technology)
2. Jacek Martyniak (Warsaw University of Technology)
3. Tomasz Smaż (Lodz University of Technology)
4. Nils Thernström (Bialystok University of Technology)
5. Piotr Szczepka (Complex of Electronic and IT Schools, Sosnowiec)
6. Adam Troszyński (Electrical School Complex, Włocławek)
7. Bartłomiej Kucharek (Technical Scientific Works, Dąbrowa Górnicza)
8. Łukasz Sosnowski (Technical Scientific Works, Dąbrowa Górnicza)

The final competition and the title of Polish Junior Champion in Soldering were won by Adam Troszyński representing the Complex of Electrical Schools in Włocławek.
The winner’s prize was the PACE ST-50 soldering station with TD-100 soldering handle, the PIERGIACOMI precision tool set and the LINDSTRÖM service tool set.
Awards to the finalists were presented by representatives of global brands – IPC and Tagarno. As the organizers emphasize, all the finalists demonstrated the highest skills and knowledge in the field of PCB assembly. The competition was very even and the level was very high.
During the event, a man with a robot also stood in the lists. On one side the Polish Soldering Champion 2018 – Mr. Michał Czerwiec, on the other – the REECO Soldering Robot. After an exciting fight the man turned out to be the winner – the Master confirmed his high form. However, as the organizers assure, the competition took place on a „short distance“ – on a long robot leaves competition behind.
Three competitions were waiting for participants. In the first, entitled „Find and Win“ – the participants showed perceptiveness and estimation skills by answering the questions. As many as 47 competitors started. The competition was won by Michał Kaczmarek from the Complex of Electrical Schools in Włocławek, who managed to give the most precise answers.
The second competition „Photo with a Poster“ took place in the sphere of the Internet. On the organizer’s fan page, participants posted comments with the Championship poster. The prize for the most creative photo was awarded to Artur Chorys for the photo „Awesome Championships“. The most popular photo – with the largest number of likes, however, turned out to be the photo of Szymon Kowalczyk.
As at the recent Automaticon trade fair, „Assembly Competition“ also enjoyed a great deal of interest. Those willing could again test their skills in using an electric screwdriver. This time the best turned out to be Adam Troszyński – who managed to unscrew and screw 14 screws in an impressive 1:34:19 time. Surprisingly and impressive, this is the same player who a moment later won the title of Polish Junior Champion in Soldering.
Event participants also visited the RENEX Technology Center, where they could learn about the latest technologies in robotics and automation. Robotics and electronics training were also very popular.
