The RENEX Group has summarized its ongoing efforts in supporting PUT Motorsport – the team from Poznan University of Technology competing internationally in Formula Student, the student version of Formula 1.

Founded by students from Poznan University of Technology in 2014, the PUT Motorsport team has gained worldwide recognition for its racing achievements. The team’s beginnings were modest, but driven by a shared passion for motorsports and the dream of creating their own vehicle, the team quickly grew. Since then, the team has been building both combustion and electric race cars, competing in numerous events.

Motorsport is a sport that consumes large budgets. To facilitate the construction of their race cars, the team relies on workshop equipment and tools, as well as support from Poznan University of Technology. However, the team’s international activities would not yield the desired results without the financial and material support from sponsors, including the RENEX Group.

“Unfortunately, this sport consumes significant budgets. Of course, in addition to the parts and structural components of the car, we also need workshop equipment, just like tools are necessary to create high-quality items. Soldering stations like JBC stations, lamination tools, wrenches, these are really the basic workshop equipment,” says Mateusz Szczerbetka, team leader of PUT Motorsport.

To develop in motorsport, continuous investment and implementation of new technological solutions are required, which is costly and almost impossible without sponsors like the RENEX Group. Thanks to financial and material support from sponsors, the team has managed to build a car worth over one million zlotys.

“The JBC soldering stations from the RENEX Group help the team build the autonomous car, enabling quick and efficient soldering and desoldering of components,” adds Mateusz. Despite their short history, the PUT Motorsport team already has numerous successes. The team has extensive experience in various racing series in Poland and Europe. This year, the team competed in Spain and Hungary with their second electric car. The RENEX Group has supported PUT Motorsport from the very beginning, providing the necessary tools to build the car. Thanks to RENEX’s support, the team can create autonomous class race cars. “In terms of electronics and electrical components, the JBC stations from the RENEX Group are very useful. These devices significantly ease the process of soldering and desoldering components and creating integrated circuit boards,” says Marcin Krzemieniewski, a member of PUT Motorsport Marketing.

Given that all electronics are individually designed for specific projects, circuit modifications are continuously required to achieve better results in managing the car. “We don’t produce entire boards in series, as we don’t need to, and we certainly don’t have the budget for it. We need professional tools to quickly and efficiently solder PCB boards,” Marcin Krzemieniewski explains. “Thanks to soldering stations like JBC from the RENEX Group, we can solder, change, or re-solder such elements more efficiently,” adds Mateusz.

The shared passion for motorsports and the dream of creating their own vehicle allow the PUT Motorsport team to continue developing. The team faces many challenges ahead, and collaboration with the RENEX Group will help realize these dreams. The partnership with PUT Motorsport aligns with the RENEX Group’s mission to support the development of the latest technologies in automation and electronics. RENEX supports talented and innovative students and technical school pupils across Poland by sponsoring projects conducted by technical schools and universities, as well as undertaking its own projects.
