According to distributor RENEX Group, YAMAHA Motor Europe Robotics Division has just summarized its recent participation in Productronica 2021 in Munich. In the course of the event, YAMAHA presented a number of new advanced surface mount solutions.
“We are delighted that we welcomed many visitors this year, who came to Yamaha seeking solutions to forthcoming challenges. We continued to support our customers and developed new products during the pandemic and we were happy to showcase our latest innovations to respond to the market’s needs.” – commented Daisuke Yoshihara, Sales General Manager at YAMAHA Motor Europe, Robotics Division, at the event.
The highlight of the YAMAHA presentation was the new YR Series assembly and inspection equipment. They were developed for modern production based on data collection and analysis. In addition, the new systems allow for significantly faster programming and process setup, thus significantly reducing cycle times. All this while maintaining the highest placing accuracy for even the smallest components.
Visitors were also able to see the next-generation YRM20 automatic stacker with an advanced rotating placement head, low-impact nozzles, a state-of-the-art motion control system and an enhanced vision system.
Also on display was the new YRi-V AOI inspection device, allowing all users – no matter what type of SMT production equipment they use – to achieve the highest inspection accuracy.
Another available item was the YSP10 premium printer, presented together with the new YAHAMA YR platforms. As part of the One Stop Smart Solution, this system enables high-speed wafer handling and new functionality that minimizes human intervention, reduces cycle time and increases productivity.
Visitors also had the opportunity to see how advanced software such as the customisable Production Analytics Dashboard and the new Yamaha Intelligent Factory data communication platform support smart manufacturing and provides live machine status, advanced process control (APC), live traceability, and two-way verification. Furthermore, they discovered the benefits of the new YSUP software platform that simplifies control of equipment and processes to monitor performance and enable continuous improvement.
Additionally, Yamaha demonstrated the YK-XE SCARA series and linear conveyor modules showing how electronic manufacturers can now automate repetitive tasks using affordable robot technology. The LCMR200 highlights flexibility, simplicity, and efficiency for transporting parts on an assembly line or within a cell. Yamaha’s competitively priced YK-XE SCARA robots, available in various sizes from 400mm to 710mm arm length, showed how to make light work of packaging-related tasks and assembly processes.
